Getting Here

From I-195, take Route 88 south and follow Main Road to the end of the peninsula. The road narrows as you cross onto Westport Point. You'll know you're close when the water appears on both sides.

Parking

Guest parking is on the left side of the driveway only. The right side stays clear for family access to the boathouse.

The House

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 6. Beds: one king, one room with two doubles, and one double. Updated kitchen with gas stove. Views of the east and west branches of the Westport River from the house.

Property Boundaries

The main house is yours for the summer. The family's boathouse is the only thing that's not. You'll see the Longs coming and going for the boats throughout the season. The backyard is yours all the way down to the river. Guest parking on the left side of the driveway; the right side stays clear for family access.

On the Water

Kayaks and a canoe are available on request at no charge. Dock space is available at $4/foot/night. You can launch directly from the property.

Beaches

Horseneck Beach

10-minute drive. Take Main Road north to Route 88 south and follow the signs. State reservation, parking fee applies in summer. Miles of sand, strong surf, and spectacular sunset views.

Cherry & Webb Beach

10-minute drive. Calmer water, great for young kids. Less crowded than Horseneck and a perfect alternative for a relaxed beach day.

Food & Drink

Nearest Grocery

Lees Market in Westport (10 min) or Stop & Shop in Dartmouth/Fall River (15–20 min).

Fish Market

The fish market at Westport Point has been operating since approximately 1740. Walking distance from the house.

Farm Stands

Scattered along Main Road and Drift Road. Fresh produce, flowers, and berries in season.

Westport Rivers Winery

Award-winning vineyard, 10-minute drive from the house.

Buzzards Bay Brewery

Craft brewery with taproom, 10-minute drive.

Oyster Bar

Walking distance at Westport Point harbor. Fresh oysters on the water. No reservations needed.

Things to Know

Wednesday Folk Music

Every Wednesday evening in summer at the fishing dock, 100 feet from the house. Bring a chair or listen from the porch.

Exterior Security Cameras

For guest and community safety. There are no interior cameras.

No Pets

Pets are not permitted at the property.

Quiet Hours

Westport Point is a residential neighborhood. Please respect quiet hours.
